As pointed out by CNN’s Pete Muntean, this kind of messaging goes against the FAA’s “compliance” policy, which focuses on corrective/training actions that focus on remediation rather than enforcement actions, like license suspensions, following an incident.

Good news for SkyWest: The DOT has tentatively approved their application to certify SkyWest Charter as a Part 135 carrier.

Ofc, the original business case, to solve for a shortage of pilots, is no longer an issue.

Interesting comment here from Flexjet CEO Mike Silvestro, a large Embraer private jet operator, that he would like to see the company look at an aircraft in the ultra-long range category, which would put it direct competition with Bombardier, Gulfstream and Dassault.
