i had fallen out of love with photography for a bit, but adding some new lenses has really picked it up. this ultra wide 10mm voigtlander lens has really excited me. these are some of my favourite photographs i’ve taken. i’m really proud of my work. i thought i’d lost the spark!
I really liked death by lightning in large part because it wasn't ultra glossy or extremely expensive, it didn't overstay its welcome, felt very writing-first. gorgeous production but worked within its means. felt like the true miniseries of yore. really hope we get more of this stuff.

the benefit of having a 6'7" husband is that shooting him with my 10mm voigtlander is basically architectural photography

this was the perfect day at kilauea. i was super sick with a triple tonsil/ear/sinus infection, but i don't even remember that part of it. i remember sitting on the rocks, watching the waves roll in over and over and over, trying not to get blown over by the wind.

was going through some of my photos from my visit this year to oaxaca. the texture on every building is so beautiful, regardless of what part of the city.

the social mediaification on every single platform often fails to register with me anymore. but the fact that hulu displays trending searches by default and demands that i click to see my own recent searches feels like getting slapped across the face with a dick.

I met David Lynch at the Saturn Awards, leaning over a balcony, award in one hand, cigarette in the other. I congratulated him on winning; he’d forgotten, focused instead on the moon. He’d heard there were telescopes set up. I confirmed this. With childlike glee, he cried “I’m gonna go see Saturn!”

with recent advancements in upscaling, sharpening, and image repair, I decided to go back through some of my old photos from ~20 years ago taken on my Nikon D70 and re-edit them. here's a comparison between the new version, and old version.

ok! a little more 10mm voigtländer love. I've loved trying to use it for portraits as well, especially in combination with incredible architecture. here are two engagement photos from my close friends, in the arts district in downtown los angeles.

I’m so happy with this one. In color the division between black and white isn’t so stark, but I love how in monochrome the two halves really shine.
