We prioritize CANCER, nothing else. Because saying 2-3% of the population suffers from autoimmune disease (probably more) doesn't seem important?

Unless you're one of those Millions affected. And you've been told a projected death date since age 22.

Cancer isn't the only disease worth curing.

All I ask is that we give some of the BILLIONS in cancer research monies to diseases that get funded in the thousands. Some on the order of 10-15k per year.
Maybe we'd have a better understanding of lupus, or better drugs. Maybe my 40ish years suffering would have been less awful.

I think it's great that cancer patients have the chance to live to get old. Really. Everyone should have that chance.

I don't.

We pour so much money into CANCER research, that many other diseases get left behind. My projected death is still 60, in 11 years. I might live longer, but not to be "old"
