Wow, that’s such an improvement. Thanks for the suggestions - I’ve clearly got some work to do 😆

Thank you - I have an X at @_CADawg but I don’t really use it anymore.

Building all that into a single executable with Go, and having a ./deploy.sh script on my server to deploy it, and:

- Deploying onto a Hetzner VPS (No CI/CD yet)

I built webmaillookup.com with this setup.

Especially when you get a three word/part company name. Is it

onetwo-three.tld
one-twothree.tld
Or
One-Two-Three.tld

😬

Nice to see someone also using Creem making money. 💰 Congrats!

They’ve also recently added a feature so you can share your revenue via a link for build in public which is cool.

Yeah I had considered a hidden input for a comment to catch out bots - chose cleantalk since it was the quickest to setup when the site was getting bombarded, but I’ll definitely consider revisiting it. Thanks for the suggestion 👍

I haven’t even gotten to the point of letting them expire so you’re definitely beating me on that front 😆

Interestingly, when I've built projects with React this doesn't seem to happen, as a project I've had for around a year has around 5 sign-ups in total, and all legitimate.

Interesting how it goes although I still preferred the developer experience of HTMX, despite this.

Obviously, I could've just left them in the database but I wanted to stop the spam so I could see who my real users are. Ended up going with cleantalk.org as it allowed me to keep the sign up smooth with no extra friction, by integrating their API.
