Ever since my dad has gotten sick, seeing an ambulance coming out of my neighborhood always fills me up with dread and anxiety.

Just yesterday DHS secty Noem said citizens were not being detained and here we are again: Two people-both citizens- were detained by ICE. in Chicago again today.

On a related note, I ended up buying a new laptop PC as I couldn't get all of my work apps to play well with Ubuntu. I'm sure you can guess which apps those are. Sigh.

I think I've gotten old. I used to love setting up new computers. Now, I get tired and annoyed by all the ads and unnecessary privacy settings that needs to be cleaned up.

So tired. Eldercare is exhausting. Despite needing to run a bunch of errands, we all decided to stay home and rest. Greatful for the slow down to enjoy the time with our loved ones.

I’m in that place where it’s difficult for me to enjoy things as a sense of guilt keeps coming over me while my father struggles with his health. I pray that he improves and he be well enough to enjoy life so that we can all heal.

During my mini quest to get a reliable portable CD player for my Dad to use while he’s at dialysis, I have also reclaimed all the major/significant CD players I used to own. There’s the one from high school, the one from college, and the one I bought when I got my first real job.

Ending the first day back from the hospital. Dad is resting and I’m glad to be back in my bed.

Had to take dad to the ER this morning. He had a fever, weakness, and altered mental state. The fever means an infection which is not good for dialysis people.

Who da thunk I'd spend money on music CDs in this day and age. Rescued some from a Goodwill thrift store and some from a antique mall. I even bought some new ones from Walmart.
