Back in 2009, I profiled Mike Rutenberg when he was a New Mexico State assistant coach making $30k a year—tied for the lowest-paid assistant in FBS that year.
"If you have to coach on the moon, you better find a way to survive on the moon."

A guy proposed to his girlfriend at the wine bar/restaurant we went to tonight. After she said “yes,” and he got off his knee, he said, “Fuck, that’s embarrassing.” Bruh, you didn’t do it on a scoreboard proposal like 🙋🏽

Haha. I saved him from a kill shelter in Brooklyn and he's arguably the cutest dog we have ever rescued. But, man, his previous owner (or owners) must have really been awful. He's so reactive and the only dog who has bit me (many times). He goes from happy/chill to chupacabra.

Commanders co-owner (and City Paper owner) Mark Ein approached WaPo’s then-CEO Will Lewis with a pitch to “spin sports and local into a separate entity that the City Paper would then invest in and host on its platform.”

Bezos and Co. really screwed over the DMV. www.theverge.com/policy/87683...

There's one Fanatics mention in the Epstein files—and of course it contains a needless redaction.

Our first job as journalists is to get the facts right, something the Pulitzer Prize-winning Mississippi Today failed to do when "reporting" brochures were removed from the Medgar & Myrlie Evers Home National Monument that called his murderer a “racist.”

That myth soon spread.

Not sure why I checked my hidden requests on Instagram—and I have zero clue what made him so mad (or antisemitic). I only block when the convo gets ugly.

The use of AI for anonymous documentary interviews is intriguing. Putting aside the ethical questions, I thought this use of digital anonymization was a tad distracting in the Letby doc. (I was studying the footage very closely.) Here's me setting up the tried-and-true setup for such shoots below.

As I was saying a few days back. I feel for all the journos who will be impacted by this and to all those who value what real journalism is all about.

There’s still something amazing about seeing your byline in print—especially in the @latimes.com.

This game is so boring, I’m doing split screen w the Golden Globes. Bonus: I can keep the audio on @nikkiglaser.bsky.social instead of Collinsworth.

Would love to know who placed this bet. Stuff like this (in a normal government) would lead regulators to act.

Journalists also don't take marching orders from politicians. We get tips all the time as reporters and a good chunk of the time they lead nowhere.

But if you're a 23-year-old influencer, there's no need to worry about bias or accuracy. thehill.com/homenews/sta...

That said, Nick isn't a journalist; he's a right-wing YouTuber. Nick had a team of eight individuals (some in masks) when he tried to enter a daycare. No shit they didn't let him enter.

No legit reporter would show up with a posse of masked men. www.cbsnews.com/minnesota/ne...
