The last time I went to Paris, my favorite memory was a reflecting pool surrounded by chairs. We sat for a while, and read, and felt the tension drain away. So, Emily and I had to do that on this trip. That’s Paris to me.
This time there was a dead rat floating by, because I am no longer 20.

Oh yeah, in Paris we do French. The drink with this was way too bitter for my taste, but the sandwich made me feel at peace with the world.

Not sure what makes this ‘Swiss’, but we’re in Switzerland and it was under ‘Swiss Classics’, so I’m counting it. Real tasty, and had a Lavender Spritz alongside, which was light and great. Now, maybe lava cake…

My empathy is turned up too high sometimes. That isn’t a “my biggest flaw is that I care too much!” humblebrag, it’s legit a problem that can slow me down. But I’d rather have that than whatever Learned Sociopathy these guys develop.

Emily works tomorrow, so this is our Valentine’s Day. We love this place; terrific atmosphere & staff, fantastic food. It’s easy here to imagine a Turtle Island that wasn’t obliterated by colonization. And lord, this food is good.
