Sometimes, my cat Jane snores just a little bit in her sleep, and sometimes, she purrs just a little bit in her sleep.

When she snores and purrs at the same time in her sleep I always wonder if she’s dreaming about eating

It was grey and rainy all day except for about 15 minutes before sunset.

Both cats are seniors and Tarzan has been declining for about 4 months. I’m doing what I can to keep him comfy and clean and he’s still so sweet and mellow. Jane is doing better but she is 17 now too. The kitties have been sweethearts all their lives. Yesterday I was out wearing my Squishable Baphomet backpack, which was a bday present, from months ago

An elderly lady eagerly asked me if it was a Pokemon, & was disappointed when I said it was not

A Squishable brand mini backpack, in the shape of Squishable Baphomet. Baphomet is the winged goat-headed deity which represents seeking truth, justice, and equality. It has a third eye which is a star, and flames coming from the crown chakra, between its goat horns. Its eyes gleam with cosmic truth and universal knowledge. Baphomet is most often associated with the Church of Satan, and is regarded to be an evil entity, but it's not at all, in Pagan mythology. Because the truth will set you FREE. The Squishable Baphomet is completely adorable too. It makes me happy whenever I see it or carry it. I do find "best friends" in objects, thanks to the neurodivergent tendency to assign emotion, sentience, or energy to inanimate things. I love this lil critter. It's so dang cute! It also does resemble a Pokemon, sort of anyway.

My cats Jane The Magnificent and Tarzan the Maine Coon, sitting at opposite ends of a credenza, which I use as their feeding station. Both cats are hunched over glass bowls, eating their dinner of wet senior cat food. Both cats are grey but Jane is a shorthair tortoiseshell tabby, and Tarzan is a grey and white tuxedo superfloof. The credenza is flanked by 2 grey velvet shabby chic dining chairs. A single window in the center has sheer yellow curtains draped open to Jane’s side. The room is painted pale yellow. The credenza is an antique and well worn, in an art deco motif from the 1930’s. The cats are like book ends in symmetry to the scene.

Endless fascination with light, shapes, shadows, and colors

Sometimes it’s the little things
My kitchen windows. Plants and plant starts and some knick knacks line the windowsill, which is painted a sunny yellow. Black tile acts s a back splash behind the sink and faucet. Sheer yellow gold swirl curtains filter the late afternoon sunlight to a warm tone which makes the scene look cozy. A yellow plastic snake and a disco ball planter hang from above, holding houseplants. A few tiny Halloween tchotchke and red peppers add some orange and red in the golden glow.

Tangled up in bleue

Oops I dyed it again
An incomplete, filtered side selfie, showing my long blue hair in a side bun with a helix curl dropped out, under my headphones. I'm wearing a black top and only a small portion of my eye can be seen, as the frame does not include nose or mouth. The colors are intensified for illustration, but my hair is freshly dyed a blue topaz. The bluish-grey shaved sides just barely peek out from under the headphones at my temple. My long hair is waist length but I almost always have it up in a bun or braids. I am a Caucasian GenX NB AFAB. Blue hair is my favorite, though I don't give much of a shit about fashion anymore. My fashion is survival. Fuck long covid!

Jane is a silver grey and cream orange tortoiseshell tabby with emerald green eyes. A jade plant in a square pot is next to her cushion. Jane’s fur reflects light in a silvery outline due to her extra thick double undercoat, which also makes her luxuriously soft to touch. She’s softer than cashmere.

A plush Killer Shrew, made out of purple velvet fabric and scraps of plush fur, lace, and ribbon. Long white fangs are made of felt. A bendable wire tail is raised and curled over its back. It's an adorable toy, and one of a kind, made by a local fabric artist, based on the 1950s cult classic film, "Killer Shrews". A colorized still photo from the 1950s film "Killer Shrews", showing a ferocious Killer Shrew, baring its sharp teeth and long fangs. The creature is an ordinary dog, in a costume, meant to make it seem terrifying, but it's still just a cute doggo having fun on set. The film is in black and white. This image has been colorized to make the Killer Shrew look golden brown, tan, and dark brown.
