A Gwich’in man from Inuvik was travelling w/ his wife & children from Costa Rica to Canada. Detained at airport while transiting through US. Had his passport, status card, etc. ICE agent who detained him stated that status card was worthless b/c “They hand them out like candy up there”

My god. Just made a really disturbing discovery in my research for today's video. Filming ASAP. But the impunity is making me feel ill, truly.
I've spent my day tracking down Canadian companies that have direct or indirect contracts supporting ICE operations.

So far, I've found NINE. I've reached out to all of them.

I plan to publish my video on this tomorrow, detailing the companies, contract amounts and purposes.
Following this exclusive (and excellent) piece from David, I've contacted the federal government to ask if they intend to continue subsidizing JSI Telecom in the future.

I've also contacted JSI Telecom for comment, adding them to the list of Canadian businesses working with ICE who I've contacted.

"Those who were violent and those who were not have equal responsibility to be nonviolent" should lead to some pretty obvious conclusions. Unless you're NYT editorial in which case, "both the perpetrators and the victims had a responsibility not to do it but never mind who did it."
This is from the NYT masthead editorial about the murders of Renee Good and Alex Pretti. The highlighted line invalidates not just the editorial, but the very idea of newspaper editorials crafted by the consensus of a board. Better to publish nothing at all than to publish a line like this.

Loving The Tainted Cup by Robert Jackson Bennett, feels like a fantasy, unhinged female Sherlock Holmes with equally but differently unhinged Watson, in a lush, coastal setting. With a touch of Pacific Rim (ie. omnipresent existential threat of massive leviathans). #booksky

Mission, BC did a mini Ren Faire in 2025 and it was so well-attended that they're doing a three day, full Ren Faire this September!

The mini-Faire was a great time, and THIS time I'll hopefully be able to get a giant turkey leg before they run out!

I’m sharing this video again because people don’t really get what these data centers and ai are doing to our planet and our communities. Especially Black communities because they were strategically placed there.

I need you to listen to these people.

Given that apparently the Stranger Things finale was meh (idk, didn't watch it, just the scuttlebutt) and we're not that far removed from the disastrous GOT finale that retroactively made everyone have never cared about the show:

Amazon is making money off AI copies of books - and putting the onus on authors to prove they’ve been plagiarised.

Honestly, just stop buying books from Amazon. Get them from an actual bookshop or order them from a reputable book supplier like bookshop.org
