My more serious answer is that I got used to + liked seeing my own shoulders; it used to be a dysphoria thing (well, spaghetti straps still set it off), but it just… got better over time.

they’re ‘non-dimmable’, but it turns out they dim just fine when you give them 19-22V (they’re 24V strips). I foresee a power brick, log pot and an LM317T in my future.

anyway, i finally put this to use checking the automotive(?) LED light strips someone dumped at the makerspace. they’re fine! same as the ikea one and my mini-painting lamp, afaict.

(I want to use some as work lights, and having a proxy for their likely CRI helps judge how useful they are to me.)
