I'm lucky in that I've managed to learn almost nothing about it beyond the basics, so I'm excited to see it all

I think that sometimes people see a critique on the thing as an attack on character, also.

Maybe they tie loving it to their personality, or perhaps some don't believe that you can love something and be critical too

Feels like you're not allowed to have issues with "the big thing" of the moment.

Yeahh, it sucks generally, but there's some fun to be had in amongst the chaos of it all. I'm in the UK, though, so 12.30am is a non-starter no matter how I feel about it 😂
