I left Twitter to (among other more important reasons) get away from media illiterate wokescolds who can’t stomach anything that remotely challenges them or makes them uncomfortable, so it’s kinda annoying to see that decent quantities of these kinds of people inhabit Bluesky

The difference in quality and acclaim between Marty Supreme and The Smashing Machine demonstrates why "inspired by" will almost always foster more creativity and interest than "based upon" when making a film informed by real events or certain source material

like i understand if people wanna go here because they're constantly seeing nazis n shit on the other site but that's not my problem. my blocklist is in the hundred thousands. i've curated my twitter experience to a tee. i don't need a diluted version of it

I’m probably not gonna post on Bluesky super frequently because it’s still kinda dry and boring imo, but yes, this site is infinitely preferable to Twitter so I will be residing here now that I’ve given up on that shithole.
