Even if I do cook a lot more than I used to, I really don't know. I just sort of randomly feel compelled to. I guess it's just a matter of getting used to it.

Again Super Mario Wonder didn't even really give anyone a redesign, just kinda gave them a different style and yeah, that made a big difference. Maybe it wouldn't hurt for more things to loosen up a bit.

Maybe it's just being fatigued over looking the exact same. Older games in general would be more experimental with art styles as technology grew or just for the sake of it but now a lot of long-running series just have a standard look to them and maybe that's just tiring to folks.

Or Donkey Kong's design changed a lot but I think people are coming around to it, being so expressive now helps a lot. But yeah, making a whole new Sonic model that looks the same for the same purpose would be pointless but--
