They should've had a Halloween ep of Voyager where Tom Paris explains the ancient earth tradition of "trick or treat" to an incredulous Seven who says something like "that is an inefficient means of aquiring candy," & he makes a holodeck recreation of a suburb so the whole crew can trick or treat 🎃

if you truly care about your users you will trust them to opt-in when they find your offering compelling enough. anything else is a "cash grab" as most software is auto updating and not everybody reads or understands release notes.

looking for some good advice regarding helping a parent of an adult child who tried to commit suicide.
right now all i can do is be there to support them. maybe they're not looking for advice but if they ask i'd like to be slightly informed on what advice i can give them.

concerts really should be a visual treat as well as an audio treat. if i only wanted to listen to music i could buy a cd. some bands get this right but others have a lot to learn.
