Buddy bear security: debug your security with a teddy bear, and then snuggle said bear as you panic at said security!

There is no security unless there is security for all.

Sadly not the cause of my issues - but I’m still putting //something Microsoft did as the main culprit

Elitism, racism, and ableism. Transit is often the only option for many with disabilities - a good transit system has everyone using it so all the arguments are moot 😭

I’m sorry a car is the only option - a wild expense for already a broken system of paying people a living wage.

This is one of those infuriating things where cities get skewered on improving systems that “not many people use” to make it so more people can use it. We’re now to the point in hfx where biking is faster than driving, but WOW bike lanes are contentious! (Context: I bike, bus, and drive around)

From sexism in STEM for my career and first round of university, to going to university again - it’s odd to see more diversity in the classes, and <exactly who you’d think> people being more vocal around stereotypes and how they’re special but .. like the same stuff from 20yr ago 🤨

Variety of meds being companies that make the med

TIL… the script here is for the generic name and the actual med itself can be of a variety of meds. I get a note if the generic version changes manufacturers since it looks different but I’ve never had a generic “brand” labelled 😱

This has made my day!

Oddly I wasn’t taught that it was the Roman alphabet or Arabic numerals; just European 🫠. I did learn about the fact that we wouldn’t have the Renaissance if it wasn’t for the Arabic culture maintaining the knowledge while Europe had the dark ages. Small steps.

“Restoring civility” - from the only country where all but one airport I’ve been through has been openly hostile in security lines, even with the sunflower lanyard. 🤨

The Woodland / Mic Mac blvd went to bid for a roundabout since it’d be safer - then they repaved the whole section and canceled the bid. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Halifax is a strange beast. You can tell who the non-locals are by the ones not speeding and generally obeying laws. Speed limits, painted lines, and signs are suggestions - yesterday’s construction park job in a bike lane is Exhibit A. The fact I’ve been hit twice in my car is Exhibit B.

I’m mildly curious as to what level of “back to nature” people thing they’re going to. And how they intend to deal with massive deaths as the ideal folks describe typically comes with… uh, a food problem.

For allegedly educated people, their writing is exceptionally horrible on exactly all levels.

//googles gradients in Oulu. Hah. Hahahahahaha. //continues to laugh-cry in Halifax hills with ice fog

The cold isn’t the only challenge. Snowmobiles are sit-still-in-cold machines and yes, gear exists for that. It’s warm. … the cold isn’t my problem 😅

I had to do a double take on the photo as, at quick glance, it reminded me of Radiator Springs in Cars 😅

With not-good labour laws when there are other countries with work visas and humane laws that you can’t waive away your rights in a contract?? I’ve always been confused, and now it’s just… so much worse
