“Move fast and break things” is what reckless punk kids with zero experience in the *real* world say

1s and 0s on a computer is one thing

In the real world, injury, death, and catastrophic systems and financial failure is what happens

Incompetent fools with an unacceptable failure rate

It’s funny until you remember our tax dollars subsidize this incompetence.

You wonder why he wanted the FAA left in ruins.

Doesn’t sound like anyone is running away. Sounds like most of them are staying and they are being dispersed, spread out within AFU.

I mean, there are many reasons for dissolving a unit or company that have nothing to do with incompetence on anyone’s part.

You know why Chosen is being dissolved? Because the whys don’t seem clear yet.

A great book that touches the place where our being springs from. Read all the others. Life is cyclic, we always have one foot in that place.

They know it, they see it, they feel it. Our saying “things change” is a bullshit lie they also see and feel.

Fair assessment in a way, but then we get all this “sci-fi” (The Last of Us) drama that is about the very real existence of these choices. I argue that kids DO want to read about these real world choices verses fantasy. The real world choices are still happening in real time.

But it isn’t. Children see dead deer all over the roadways in DC area. Was appalled when first moved here. Deer hit by cars dying horrible deaths. Driving to school in morning was a death maze. Dead deer all over the main roads. The life cycle of deer and how it intersects with ours, not irrelevant

We have all these rescue dog circuses in front of Petsmart every weekend. How aren’t people reading Old Yeller? Or Bob Son of Battle? Those works aren’t less than right now. They pertain directly to our time and joint species survival.

Why don’t we read Old Yeller or The Yearling. One of our very best friends is a prolific deer hunter. The Washington DC area is over run in white tail deer and bow hunters are in tree stands in common folk yards. How are we not reading The Yearling?

Except The Stand

Wut? Who is traumatized by ‘Where the Red Fern Grows’ now, in this day? Wait till they read ‘Old Yeller’ and ‘The Yearling’ (The Yearling almost physically psychologically killed me). Where do they think bacon comes from, or duck fat fries?
