Somebody said my guidance on EVs ("If you're considering a new car an EV might be a good choice for you.") was "wishy-washy".

Well...it's a fairly literal example of the old saying "Your mileage may vary". If you take a lot of long road trips, you might not like an EV. If you...

"We filled out all forms in triplicate. One we keep, one we forward to HQ, and one we destroy so the Russians won't get it." -An old friend joking about his Navy service

December can be a good time to take a deep breath and reexamine your processes for unnecessary steps and inefficiencies.

The #Copilot panel alongside #Word, #PowerPoint, #Outlook and other Office apps is now the Microsoft 365 Copilot Chat which opens it up to a lot more interesting possibilities. It can now access the web, your calendar, your inbox and more....

Using an AI scribe to take notes in a meeting is good BUT, don't use that as an excuse to just tune out. Use the time wisely, make sure you're still engaging in the meeting, note down your insights rather than every individual fact.

The #AI should amplify you, not replace you.

I'm thrilled to announce that I've been awarded the Del Taco Peace Prize for my tireless efforts to eat crinkle cut fries and quesadillas.

It's stunning to me that after all these years #Facebook's software is still this bad. Getting a notice that somebody has replied to you in a busy thread is nearly useless. Facebook is unable to take you to that reply, leaving you searching for it or just giving up on the conversation. 😦

Recently occurred to me that 2026 will be the first time in many years (more than 20?) that I won't be involved with #MVPSummit. Too bad, one of my favorite events of the year. #MVPBuzz

My in-laws have a GE Advantum 120 Microwave . Arguably the worst microwave I've ever used. The controls are absurdly complex and it just doesn't do a very good job of heating stuff once you finally figure it out. Our LG at home is much better, and probably cheaper. #RandomRant

Microsoft 365 #Copilot does a lot of good things, but one noticeable gap right now is in creating appointments on your #calendar. I think Microsoft will get it there, but it's not quite there yet.

Excited that I'll be presenting at the #ALA annual conference in Maryland this coming April. ALA is one of my favorite groups in #legal and it's been a few years since I've been to ALA Annual.

My #Panera order is almost always the same: Chicken noodle soup in a bread bowl. But I have to go early or else they often run out of bread bowls.

One of my directors at Microsoft was standing at the front of an All-Hands meeting looking at a dashboard showing our progress on some quarterly goals. There was a mix of green, yellow, and red in the status column. He paused for just a second and said something that has stuck with me every since...

Working with generative #AI can be like working with children or animals - when the action starts it can be hard to know exactly what it's going to do. 🤣 Be prepared for the occasional surprise.

If there's increased attention on #legal #ethics and accuracy as a result of AI (catching fake cites, etc) then I think that's a net positive. Submitting fake, inappropriate, or misinterpreted cites is not new but efforts to catch those now has a fresh urgency & that's a good thing, in my opinion.

I heard a #Copilot commercial on a #LegalTech podcast yesterday. Not that surprising, except...it was a commercial for the CONSUMER version of Copilot. No wonder lawyers are confused - they're hearing ads talking about features their version of Copilot doesn't have. 🤦‍♂️
