Huge respect to the papers for finding both an 88 year old worried about the tax bill on her 6 bedroom Kensington house and a 20 year old fretting about only being able to save £12k a year tax free.
Top work all around. These are not easy case studies to find.

Americans should hide their heads in shame for having elected such an ignorant and soulless regime—the Trump presidency and his Republican Congress.

When your past finally catches up, what do you do? What do you do?

When the record shows you voted against every measure meant to help working people—what do you do? What do you do?

When stories about your ties to Russia won’t disappear, what do you do? What do you do?🤨👇

You just cannot take the iPaper seriously when it wheels out Kwasi ‘mini budget’ Kwarteng to comment on the budget.
We don’t *ever* want to hear from this arrogant clown again.

I'm heartily sick of the racists who over the last decade have ruined our economy and made us all a lot poorer. Poorer in money and poorer in spirit.
- A 100,000 drop in net migration costs us £7bn
- Scrapping the two-child benefit cap costs us £3bn

What gets more attention?

James O’Brien says 'we have become a ludicrous country'.

I am from ‘the rest of the world’. Trump is NOT respected, has made America a laughing stock, and has isolated America from the rest of the world.
Also, we are all forging new trade deals that leave the unpredictable America out.

Former Finnish PM Sanna Marin put it bluntly: “To end the conflict, Russia must leave Ukrainian territory.”

Just one point. Nothing more to discuss.

Disagree.

Farage is second.

How about the Prime Minister who suppressed the results of the last investigation into Russian interference in UK elections?

www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-poli...
Boris Johnson met Russian oligarch Lebedev without aides
The prime minister admits he met Alexander Lebedev, an ex-KGB agent, without officials present.

Covid report lays bare Boris Johnson’s complacency and lack of leadership.

This corrupt, incompetent and totally inept conman should be prosecuted and jailed for corporate manslaughter.
November 21, 2025 at 2:25 PM
Sarah is spot on!!
So, #r4today reports on the Covid inquiry and the “too little, too late” Tory govt, then says they’ll be talking to *Lord* Gove about it. Ugh.
That just sums up so much that’s so very wrong with our politics and media.
Rewarding, rather than punishing, those responsible for failing us all.
November 21, 2025 at 8:05 AM
So what’s the point of the enquiry’s confirmation that Johnson was completely unfit for office? What next? Any action against him and his team? Any consequences for any of them, or just ……. nothing?

Nice to see this exclusive report in the Guardian, breaking the news that I reported 3 years ago in "The Decade In Tory" (one of dozens of lucrative, mostly wasted COVID contracts via direct connection to senior Tories).

Revealed: the billion-pound PPE contractor with a Tory MP on site
Special report: Uniserve was paid £1.4bn for Covid contracts that included supply of £178.5m in never-used equipment
