Watching Homicide before The Wire is like watching Breaking Bad before Better Call Saul. If you watch BCS first you're gonna have a good time. But you're gonna get so much more out of it if you saw Breaking Bad. Same with Homicide and The Wire.

That's the show. I will say this. Homicide is my fave series ever. Same people who did The Wire, but way earlier. I recommend you watch Homicide before The Wire. There are so many easter eggs in The Wire for Homicide fans.
