"Dash" is one of the hardest words to translate in games imo. It can mean a million different things and there's just no way to tell which one it is unless you have access to the game to actually see the animation.

So heartbreaking to see so many cool games localized by companies that don't pay their translators. I wish they would do a bit of research before picking their LSP.

Course finished, projects delivered, language learning goals reached... I'm very glad my schedule is freeing up, but now the challenge is finding work for the next 2 months 🫠

Translation tests are such a great learning opportunity. A well-made, challenging test shows you where you excel, as well as your weak points. Even if you don't pass, you can still learn so much from the experience.

Organized a meeting yesterday to give feedback on a project I proofread, and it was so good I honestly didn't even mind that it was 11 pm in my time zone. Seeing your colleagues' faces makes such a huge difference, I wish I could do this every time.
