This book is amazing - goes over truly everything, from systemd, permission systems, SSO, security, cloud deployments to data center ops and ethernet cable shielding. Wild.

My common frustration with ATProto apps at the moment is this. I don’t want to grant you access to modify and delete all of my data. I know that more scoped permissions are coming, but right now this makes me feel like I can’t get involved in the Atmosphere.

@expo.dev dev server with in-built @ngrok.com tunnel must be the best feature ever.
Just pnpm run start -- --tunnel, scan QR code and you're back to developing, no wires, no installation, nothing.

activity is absolutely huge for RN though, since you have to basically keep every screen in the history mounted. now they can be deprioritised without using hacks like react-freeze

There should be a universal badge to indicate that a app or website or platform or service or whatever is built on the AT protocol. Just a simple mark, not unlike ♻️, so the average consumer can understand this works with all the other ATProto stuff.
