Long-time SF/F reader, occasional writer. I live in Arizona with my wife, several housemates, and a small mob of cats.

I strive for posts that are amusing, informative, and/or wise. (The last one's the toughie.)
They're just jealous because they can only aspire to your awesome level of nerdiness.

...finally getting around to reading ORGANIZING SOLUTIONS FOR PEOPLE WITH ADHD, which many folk have recommended. With a few quibbles, a lot of good guidelines and suggestions for staying organized when *you're* not. After 40 years in the same house, there's a lot of stuff that needs work.

One's a toothless old man. The other's a soulless old man.

This reminds me of the protagonist of Barry Malzberg's ORACLE OF THE THOUSAND HANDS, a chronic masturbator. When he has actual sex with an actual woman for the first time, what he thinks is, "Oh. *You beat off inside them.*"

One of Dad's brothers still living in Ohio, my Uncle Bill, married a Mormon woman and converted. About two years in, they visited us in Arizona.

Mom slipped Bill a cup of coffee when Maggie was busy in another room.

He looked, I remember, SO GRATEFUL.

[eternally black-clad villain approaches, waving a white flag of truce]

Hero's sidekick: Where did he find something *white*?

Hero: He probably murdered a laundryman!

If a plainclothes cop with a hangdog face starts to tell you you're under arrest, just tell them "Shut the fuck up, Friday."

One more reason to keep a large trove of cool t-shirts, rather than a permanent tattoo.

Even if the "abandonment" claim is valid, Musk can still pummel them with lawyers until they fold.

(My brief time as a legal secretary taught me a legal fight's main tool is making it too expensive, too time-consuming, too stressful for your opponent to continue.)

Retired, no office: I use Liberation Serif for serif-y use, Calibri otherwise. Weird-ass fonts (Space Patrol, etc.) for headlines.

Shameful admission: I think Papyrus is kinda cool-looking, actually, albeit of limited utility. (I'll save y'all replying: "GET THEE BEHIND ME, SATAN!")

Put Rubio's picture in the dictionary, next to "putz".
