This. A thousand times this. People's desperation for a saviour is manifesting in the same bollocks we witnesed at the height of Corbynmania.

One of the most amazing films about the occult ever made. Incredible performances from a tiny cast, the filmmakers clearly did their research and the 'magician' is a complete contrast from Wheatley's charming, aristocratic stereotypes. Just brilliant.

Trump is no longer the real issue. He's a walking corpse. The problem is the Project 2025 types, who have been waiting a long time for this moment. They don't just want America under their bootheel. Europe too, is in their sights.

Frenzied bombing campaign that kills a shitload of civilians > boots on the ground > mission accomplished ceremony > brutal insurgency begins > brutal insurgency overwhelms American troops > ignominious withdrawal while claiming victory

(business as usual, essentially)

I'm sure this will end well, given that in it's brief history, achieving consensus within the ranks of Your Party, has been an absolute doddle.

Everything is resolved! Now they can start working for suffering voters!

(nothing is resolved and I give it 48 hours before the 4 factions (?!) split into 36 factions, each of which is deeply unhappy about the proposed colour for party leaflets and where the tea and biscuits have been sourced from)

I loved the Dredd film and while they got the nihilistic darkness of Mega City One spot on, I also think they missed a trick by not including the weirdness that permeates 2000AD and Dredd.

I read the Snork storyline when I was 10 and even back then I was like "this is bloody mental."

Loved the late 80s, early 90s issues from Dark Horse!

Their Terminator series at that time was amazing too.

Starmer's days are numbered. It's now a matter of how long it will take, how much damage McWormtongue will do while that plays out, and who replaces a truly abysmal and blinkered PM.

He won't, obviously.

Far better to focus on not aping him in a bizarre attempt to snag his voters, who will want nothing to do with Labour, even if it builds a series of 'camps for concentrating' throughout the country.
