Those sorts of scenes are honestly probably part of why Mike was one of my favourite characters. Those scenes are just so weirdly compelling. Vince could probably make an entertaining 10 minute long scene of someone quietly putting together a sandwich

Also people being encouraged to watch an entire season in like a week means some things dont get to have that longterm lasting connection

Obviously not everyone had every single TV channel but I feel like you probably generally had more TV channels than you have streaming services

TV shows used to be relatively accessible. You could say "hey there's this new show that looks neat, it's on this channel at this time" and then your friend could go check it out. Now you have to say "hey it's on ploob" and maybe your friend doesnt have ploob or it doesnt even exist in their country

(yall who live in the US probably don't know this but a lot of time when a new US produced show gets announced it'scommon for media outlets to list where it is available in the US only for it to turn out that those streaming serivces either don't exist in canada or haven't licensed it for canada)

It isn't all bad though they've added one more train station since 2025
