I was honestly nervous that making a metroidvania that isn't all grim and serious and difficult would make it a hard sell. But I've seen quite a few people specifically call Stomp a breath of fresh air, and that makes me really happy...

i just played the demo, it's only like an hour long but boy its so charming. had me grinning the whole time.

when every metroidvania type game under the sun has a bleak and dreary atmosphere, this game is a breath of fresh air.

I'm glad all the bugs that have been encountered so far are INCREDIBLY niche or something the player actively has to do something really weird for. Nothing like the two different bizarre "you live in a country that doesn't have english as a first language" bugs Frogsong's demo had

Frogsong had a bug where Rana could send the player back in time. Stomp and the Sword of Miracles has a bug where it's possible for Stomp to commune from beyond the grave

I played some of the demo, enough to convince me it is going to be good

I really like the dialogue and the art, I adore the faces characters do while talking

And the bad guy is a solid written funny lord of chaos

The gameplay is also very solid, plays similar to HK but doesn't feel like a clone

An update to the demo is coming soon, there's a few very minor bugs to fix and tweaks I want to make. But there's also way less bugs than even Frogsong's full launch had, so!!! Let's fucking go!!!!!

It's now midnight, which means it's been 12 hours since the KS launched. We're over 30% of the way to the goal in just 12 hours. I am SO incredibly grateful. I know I just made a post like this earlier, but... really. I was so nervous about how this was going to go, and now I just feel confident.

In three hours, we've already surpassed the amount Frogsong raised on its first day. That's incredible. I really don't know what to say. I honestly had no clue how much reach I'd have on day one without the massive boost the Wholesome Direct gave Frogsong. Thank you.
