I love that Nintendo's 2025 wrapup lets you go all the way back to 2017, though apparently the time I spent with the original Switch before the online servers were on is (understandably) in a black hole. It was basically only Breath of the Wild anyway.

Me to RAM manufacturers.

My favorite 2025 activity wrap up so far comes from @retroachievements.org, because of course it does.

GBA is king, apparently.

My Christmas gift this year is nostalgia. (And preparation for the RetroAchievements Wii launch.)

It probably also doesn’t come with this behind-the-scenes DVD that I, the sole person who liked this game when it came out, got for pre-ordering it.

Happy Metroid Day to all who celebrate.

I don't think it actually took me 15 years to complete Eragon for the Xbox 360, but other than that these stats from @trueachievements.com look pretty solid (and are interesting to me). www.trueachievements.com/my-xbox-stor...

My wife prefers to drive, so I get to be a passenger princess and enjoy a cozy Thanksgiving read.

I don’t have Half-Life 3, but I do have this picture I took of Randy Pitchford holding a copy of the cancelled Gearbox port of Half-Life for the Dreamcast, back in 2015.

*The box is from Blockbuster.

This new Alan Wake game is different than I expected.

Real ones know that Ghost Recon: Shadow Wars was the best Nintendo 3DS launch game.

Looks like a lot of the Switch 1 playtime stats I somehow lost in a console switchover are really gone for good (I absolutely played more Breath of the Wild than this), but this is still neat. It’s cool that the 3DS stuff has persisted.

Shoot, I didn't even know my shop had gas control and cutting systems. Or that I had a shop. I'm glad this AI-powered offer for an Oxy-Fuel audit showed up just in time.

Finally starting to catalog my physical game collection for the first time in more than a decade. Didn’t immediately love any of the services I was seeing so we’re just doing Google Sheets for now.

Whoa, Doug Bowser is retiring as President and COO of Nintendo of America at the end of the year.

My son wanted to have a diary, so I gave him a little black notebook. He’s still learning to spell, so he wrote “Dire” in white text on the front instead of “diary,” and it just looks like an off-brand Death Note.

This is for “Ages 3 - 103” but they should honestly make a version geared toward adults. It’s a clever way to teach the different pieces and what they do, building on different mini games until you’ve learned all of chess.

Post a movie you like with a terrible rotten tomatoes score.

(Maybe not so terrible, but look, I did my part to try to make sure justice was done.

At some point I need to get the tool to open up SNES cartridges and make sure my copy of Earthbound is genuine. I bought it second-hand a *long* time ago, but I don’t know if it was long enough ago that counterfits didn’t exist.

I also have a handful of trading cards from Final Fantasy: The Spirits Within

I can’t find the notebook I’m looking for, but at least I found my binder full of GBA e-Reader cards.

There were no other men at my local library’s crochet event/class tonight, so I made one.
