Representing those who ride, walk and those who want to but don't feel safe in the western suburbs of Brisbane.
Well done to Kathryn for organising an amazing protest ride on the Story Bridge today. They're calling for Brisbane City Council to be open about the footpaths reopening, and in the meantime repurpose a traffic lane as a temporary shared path, as they did on Coronation Drive in 2022.

Really exciting news yesterday with the Federal Government announcing $5 million towards Brisbane City Council to build protected bike lanes on Sylvan Road, as well as $1m towards the business case for the Toowong-West End bridge.

A Brisbane City Council intersection upgrade that:
✅️ removed a slip lane
✅️ added a raised pedestrian crossing
✅️ has signalised crossings on all 4 legs
✅️ widened bike lanes
✅️ includes sensor loops in the bike lanes

Very impressive! A new standard i hope.
