I don’t typically mix multi-coloured yarn and stitch patterns because they make it too busy and/or cancel each other out. It’s one or the other. But I think I like this. It’s such a subtle difference from a regular rib. #Knitting 🧶

Last night, after I put away the Nutcracker sock, I decided to restart the Sweet Potato sock. It was the one on the DPNs. Not sure what I was thinking but it was 56 stitches. Should have been 60. So now it’s got a 1x1 twisted rib and then a pseudo rib of 3 knits and a seed stitch. #Knitting 🧶🧦

Old pillows are on the floor of my closet because the cats can’t have too many places to sleep. #PrinceCharming is particularly fond of dark quiet places. Jake walked in and found him there. Poor lad is tired. Happy #Caturday 🐈

Worked on the 2nd Rainbow mitt today and then was supposed to work on the 1st Nutcracker sock. Was watching movies and kept forgetting I was knitting. I did get a few rows in. Just wish my hands had an auto pilot. #NightlyProgressReport #Knitting 🧶

Worked on the mitt today. The thumb gusset is in a holding pattern now so next step is to finish the hand. But the work day is almost done so I’ll switch to the Nutcracker sock next. #Knitting 🧶

McClellan’s are beautiful but that does not look comfortable at all. I used to ride in a Steuben much like this one but that was lifetimes ago.

I turned around and she was sitting there. Judgiest, crankiest, moodiest cat I’ve ever lived with. Jake is her person but she’ll put her teeth on him if he looks at her wrong. Thankfully, she wouldn’t dare do that to me. All our kitties are extra gentle with Mama.

Here’s the two colorways that are on their way from Lichen & Lace: Bouquet and I See Seashells. While I’m using her tonal colorways for the 2026 temp project, I prefer the ones with more colors for socks. I want to try them all!!
