Look at this bear, lost in the sauce.

All the public domain art in here has the same big googly eyes photoshopped upon them.

PUERED.

I knew it! I knew it was a thing! I was just spelling it wrong because my brain was not my own!

Look at this creature.

I really have to go back in and fix all the scaling issues with some of the newer tokens; but it was worth relearning some old skills to experiment all the same.

Might maybe make some hex joiner overlays for border areas, help gradient transition things.

Many ways I could go with this.

Also, funniest damn thing. I'm enraptured by Cairn. I did work on Dolmenwood. By all accounts, the Wildwood Manuscripts would make a lovely Cairn type setting.

Alas, Cairn already exists within an implied woodland setting. So it'd be a hat on a hat.

Albeit, it is just about tools anyway.

Game got cancelled for the evening for a number of reasons, but here's a party shot as its been a bit.

Not exactly... heroic material.

Next session tomorrow, the party now fleeing through the Dead Bogs into the Kochako family's tiny province, with a mostly broken boyfriend, a hellbound husband, a bloodspeaking child, a traumatized teen soldier, and an abomination of flesh holding a plague god in his guts - in tow.

That'll be fun.

Working on a loot list, and while it is less involved than the one I was doing for Rakehell - I will attest that I care so much about flavor text for needless ephemera.

The challenge is making it fit within the constraints of 2 pages. But everything matters.

But now I'm aghast at the past me.

Finale for a game I've been in since January or so.
William Riker-expy died, disaster lesbian died, timeblind kitsune with no concept of gender or modernity - oddly doing great.

Kyoka (It/Its) is a crab-eating fox. It exists to make scary noises. It loves rap. It just learned about cassettes.

Worm McGurk: "That's what I'm saying Peter, he was a fool of a Took - all right?"

Peter: "Yep."

McGurk: "A fool of a Took. Because he'd take things, you know? He'd take things but in a silly way. And he'd do fool things. He'd wear wigs, Peter."

Peter: "What?"

McGurk: "Or maybe that was Merry."

Troll women in general don't get to have as much fun with their character design models, but all the Amani NPC models of them I'm seeing are within the standard nose size of other trolls.

I think the issue in general might be changes in head proportions since earlier expansions, i.e. BC/MoP.
October 13, 2025 at 3:18 PM
Not for nothing, but looking at the actual models for the new Amani trolls and their noses do look appropriate - its just they chose to give us the worst angles of what appear to be two characters who are notably not as prodigiously aquiline.

The front angle really doesn't do any favors.

Leaked screener from Peacemaker S2E08. Looks like we're getting Babjack, a real deep cut character.

Dragged me out of my work fugue-state to remember I made this bastardman Count Olaf/abusive dog-owner type class a number of years ago as an experiment in how to do a "summoner/pet class" in MB that felt appropriate to the tone.

Perhaps once my current contract is up, I may revisit the work.

At a certain point this will become easily transferable into Metroidvania type spatial design mapping - that feels like the natural progression of my prep.

Lets see how badly the party fucks things up tonight.

I feel there's a window, but people don't seem to notice, read, or glean the unspoken decorum to ask anymore.

Sucks to have to deal with that. I'm still missing a boxed set I was really looking forward to,. But I've also had publishers forget to send me my copies in general.

I blame linear time.

My mom and I talking about some horrid oligarchy thing.
Followed by: "That probably sounded more elegant spoken aloud."
Me: "I'd say it in a heavy Brooklyn accent just to undermine it. Lol. Lmao."
September 9, 2025 at 11:13 PM
Fixed some bits, because of course one only knows the errors when it is done.

Blaggard.
Ah well, now to finish the tokens.

There we go.
The Castle of Learning, Shiro Yogo. Useful for my purposes. I'm rather sure the party is gonna end up blowing it to pieces and unleashing untold evils upon the world.

The party really only sort of benefits from doing a coup - but they lack a lot of useful information to make choices.

Looking through some old videos of my dog Ruby, and have to say I hate that people shifted "goon" to mean jacking off rather than looking like a slab of meat who has no thoughts but "punch da batman" or "eat oversized hoagie."

Because I called Ruby "da Goon" a lot. 2022 was a lifetime ago.

That noted, it has one of the kindest endorsements I can give. it: "John Waters on an ether frolic."

Which was probably part of a longer, less kind, screed. But, if you enjoy my strife and a shitpost about Borg-proliferation, its a game you can buy.

Now I go to murder my capacity for whimsy.
August 29, 2025 at 9:15 PM
@ninjaborg.com didn't kill me, but it fucking tried. Funniest thing about it was that some people did actually assume I had died and this was a posthumous release.

Such an epithet feels appropriate for this timeline. I'm sure some modern day Zodiac will find me, someday.

May they find Walt first.

Work in progress.
Getting back into the swing of commission work so I can clear my plate a bit this week.

The Castle of Learning, the Yogo Family holding. Needs a castle town though. And for them to learn not to build their castle atop the edge of a cliff.
