I don't think any of this counts as spoilers; I'm talking in the big broad strokes.

If it does.... I mean, teens are gonna run from a Voorhees, fam.

If you have two seconds of context I ain't done jack, and if you don't have two seconds of context I ain't done shit. Its horror folks.

Horror.

I dunno, I've seen some very tepid takes from people who don't seem to understand all the added layers of horror to this - and who in turn think, "actually she's just terrible"

And that's just...

When faced with extermination, maybe don't go tone police on someone up against that? It looks bad.

Its been /overt/ about how she is actually acting the most normal about the horrors she contends with - her reactions are normal compared to others.

Also been /overt/ about the obvious parallels to conversion shit and like... it is telling her she will submit because of biological imperative.

For clarity - I am talking about tables and how I automate them in a generator. Which means I can compound this new stuff upon the old stuff; and also have it be stand-alone as the needs may have it.

Because the model holds, its just a... tonal pivot. Even then, it runs on implication.

I also must begin preparing a period style map that I haven't done in... five years? Mercy me.

That'll be fun to fuck around with though. Enriching even.

The trick I think, will be finding the way to frame up this more collaborative take to make an eventual end resulting in despair, isolation, and mistrust feel natural.

That's going to be an enriching challenge to puzzle through. But a good one to attempt.

Is that the one with Abed in it?

The moderation on this feels malicious in its targeting choice given that the tools to turn a blind eye towards the horrors are readily present on this site.

Moderation is saying a lot by making the conscious choices they've made.

More that I'm thinking you're doing a bit when you could be doing a bit that also gets you baja blasted.

Shoot for the moon and you may yet reach the stars.
Shoot for "fifty likes and Tony has to get me Taco Bell" and you might get Taco Bell.

I'm just saying.

But since I refuse to endure a review that says "I don't like the system" where the blame of that is on me, I'll just manipulate the work to properly slot about.

Such that it is.
November 26, 2025 at 4:49 PM
Its the thing that I don't rightly care about system - math and probability are neutral. This is about converting the work to be something people might actively use or strip the mechanics out entirely for their own purposes.

It needs some mechanisms to function though, or I'd gut that wholly.

Which makes removing regrets as a clear condition useful.
Advance by compiling experiences and regrets. Clear regrets so you can die/live on without being as miserable a sack of shit.
November 26, 2025 at 4:02 PM
Actually that works well too.
Makes advancement still risky - you wish to avoid piling up regrets, even if regrets are still a meta-currency that benefits you and helps you advance.

But when death comes, or you seek to exit the field, the weight of your regrets weigh you down deeply.
November 26, 2025 at 4:02 PM
Actually yes, that slots perfectly save I need to find a quantifiable for the boons/maluses to shift the potential roll. Though I guess all would need that.

But given how much Regret is a factor, I could just have those quantify things and remove attribute as the mechanic shift into guidelines.
