It gave me a trauma response to the time a drunk driver slammed into and totaled my car. Hard to be alert for the folks coming from behind.

This may be specifically because of the driver who failed to see me, wearing high vis and lit up like a fucking Christmas tree, and if they were 3 inches further to the right would have smeared me and my preschooler literally on the street outside the daycare.

Did you carve those out yourself or find them? I've been down a rabbit hole learning about the former recently!

20 mph+ pre-e-bike for me translated to don't ride your bike windy. With an e-bike, it's less of an issue but still pretty noticeable. The 50 mph gusts though today made my 20 mph pedal assist level top out at ~15 mph D:

* Pop Tarts and other toaster pastries only came about after food scientists figured out how to make *dog food* semi-moist, and then applied that technology to human breakfasts. In other words, if you like Pop Tarts, thank a dog.

Brutal, and this is probably why they appear to be shutting down.

Based on the comment from Rad included in the CPSC statement, it seems like this does not include the UL-certified batteries (sold as "Safe Shield") that they started shipping in the last year. But they sold a lot before that.
