Gaunce off for hooking. He's had a rough go of it since being recalled in Detroit as Del Bel Belluz's replacement. Screened Greaves on the Red Wing's second goal to start a third-period, two-goal meltdown and now takes a tough one with the Jackets already down 2-0 late 2nd.

As shown on the FanDuel Sports Network Ohio broadcast, Olivier was injured at the end of his last shift in the first period, grabbing at his right hip/groin area after contact in the O-zone LW corner with Capitals D John Carlson.
Left the ice with 3:55 left 1st.

Told #CBJ need to get Marchenko examined in Columbus before they get a better feel for how long he might be out, i.e. short or long-term. Doesn't sound great, though, and he's expected to be out tonight vs #ALLCAPS.

#CBJ announced today they've signed veteran D Brendan Smith to a one-year, two-way NHL/AHL deal. He'll join the team Tuesday in Columbus after coming to training camp on a professional tryout offer and then starting the season with AHL Cleveland.
My guess is he'll replace Dysin Mayo as depth D.
