Dad, husband, tech guy, amateur cook. Laughs, politics, business, sports. ICYMI: President Trump is a MONSTER. Same handle on X and Mastodon. 😄✌️(San Diego)
Can you clarify who exactly you are referring to ? Not clear.

Reagan Airport travelers: Sorry. They’re talking about this sh*t at an airport ? What the heck?

Profligate holiday party grazing on hors d'oeuvres and desserts is just the “juice” we all need to face 2026, which will likely be even more of a dumpster fire than 2025 for Trump 2.0. Dr Oz can respectfully pound sand!

Exactly. U of Michigan tried initiatives on diversity that they later adjusted. It’s an organization trying to maximize the educational experience in all facets. It’s not always perfect. Trump 2.0 is a disingenuous wrecking ball at best. “Apples and oranges.”

If they pretend they haven’t heard about the story of the day, end the interview right there.

“I’m sorry, Senator, we wanted to get your perspective on this story, but it seems you’re not fully aware of what’s going on.”

You are literally in high office or a position of professional trust to do the hard thing. And the hard thing is not to kvetch about how “some aspects of birthright citizenship are 50-50 in this pew research poll”. What was German opinion in the 1930s? What was US opinion on slavery in 1850?

And this is where leaders (mostly the feckless GOP) fail us. Trump and Vance brought up this birthright citizenship bullsh*t multiple times in the 2024 campaign. It was a massive red flag, just like “eating the cats, eating the dogs”.

IMO failed impeachment and conviction of Trump for #Jan6th is such a travesty. It could have been a watershed moment leading to honest societal and journalistic discourse on disinformation, corruption, ethics, regulatory oversight, etc.

“Make America Kind Again” is still my favorite, although no catchy acronym. ✌️

Pretty soon the party line will be that Trump works 23.5 hours per day …. a mere 30 minutes for food, naps, and bathroom breaks… LOL. We’re already at 21 hours per day per Mike Johnson on Fox Business this week. 🤡

Key point from Kagan in this interview : “It is the reliability of the commitment that is the source of stability.” 💯

And yes I realize that based on the available reporting the recent threats in Indiana seem real and not hearsay. Regardless, a politician shouldn’t “fold” on a political stance because of a threat. Meet the moment and fulfill your oath of office.

Steve Schmidt nails the overarching Dem political objective in his fundraising texts for save-am.org: “The MAGA movement will not break until Republican politicians fear their own voters more than they fear Donald Trump.”

We’ve now been hearing this for years going back to #Jan6th. If they are real threats, then GOP pols should report it to law enforcement for a formal investigation and have journalists hold law-enforcement’s feet to the fire for proper follow up. Lots of disingenuous heresay for years.

One by one, over just a handful of years, these tech leaders have become absolutely bonkers when their companies are criticized. Alex Karp knows damn well that NY Times is one of probably a dozen reputable journalism outlets that have expressed concern about Palantir’s methods.
