Darkly funny that they’re trying to throw Bradley under the bus and *also* going on the record saying that they agree with and celebrate the war crime.

“We” didn’t. WE didn’t pardon anyone. HE did. The President of the United States pardoned him. Come on Bill, say his name. Who’s our president? Say his name.

Like a prudent builder, Pope Leo is laying a long-term foundation to knock down the foundations of MAGA. He’s in it for the long haul, willing to be the steady drumbeat of the Gospel against the cacophony of lies.

Make no mistake — Leo will win this fight.
Pope Leo vs. the Empire of Lies: The Long Game to Defeat Trumpism
He’s already rebuked immigration crackdowns and blasted the “logic of exclusion” fueling rising nationalism. Now, as the youngest pope in 35 years, Leo is poised to help defeat Trumpism for good.

I'm reminded all over again about how Trump is trying to make the White House Mar-A-Lago north, or something. The next inhabitant will have to find a whole team of designers to de-whore-house/de-Trump-hotel the place.
When he’s gone, I know there will be a lot to do, but can we make sure the living rose garden gets restored?

Started. Going.

far too many media orgs have been slow to learn that in the age of social media the headline IS the story
"Never spread the lie in the headline" should be a hard rule of 21st century journalism.

Research shows that repeating lies helps to spread them, and people read headlines more than they read stories.

Seeing this makes it easier to surmise the origins of widespread access journalism practices over the last 50 years.
Columbia and Northwestern are the academic homes to the most prestigious journalism schools in the country and they are the two universities that caved to the Trump administration’s extortion demands that are directly connected to the First Amendment. Just gonna sit with that for a while.

Understanding this dynamic was a part of the 1950s political leadership, too, that kept them from pandering to the rich. You know, it's that part of the 1950s that some folks don't feel nostalgic about.
Around 70% of the U.S. economy depends on consumer spending. As wealth concentrates in the richest 10%, the rest of America can’t afford to buy enough to keep the economy running. This is a huge problem — and even America’s most powerful CEOs are starting to sound the alarm.

So this. Germans know the assignment this time around.

BTW, strong public opposition to Fascism in England prior to the outbreak of WWII is what allowed GB to put up such strong resistance to the Nazi invasion once the war began.
NEW: Over 50,000 people attempted to block the founding convention for the new youth org of the far-right AfD party on Nov. 29 in Gießen, Germany. Wide-ranging actions-including 19 blockades around the small city-prevented a majority of participants from attending. Police violently beat blockaders.

This is the beefiest thread I’ve seen in a while and well worth your time. Some of the salient convos off of it are informative, too.
An issue we're seeing at all levels of university is that many students are simply refusing to do *anything*. They aren't reading the syllabus, aren't following assignment guidelines, aren't engaging with material, ignoring deadlines. And this might seem like old news, but it truly has ramped up.

Their tax rate has been cut FIVE times in the last 25 years.

They are paying more because their INCOME has increased astronomically, where the income of the bottom half has

How mass media TV will interview anyone as a reliable source as long as it juices an already sad story. Is an ex-boyfriend a reliable source? This is bullshit, not reporting.
Sarah Beckstrom's ex-boyfriend told NBC News she dreamed of becoming an FBI special agent.

She didn't want to deploy to D.C.

"She hated it. She cried about it."

But she started visiting monuments and museums and started enjoying it.

May she rest in peace.
