Well hello there! I'm Brent. Went from a modder to LD to tech design over a wild 17 years now! Here's some games I've worked on, plus a few more indies like Webkinz.

Also love boardgames and building them too! Big on jams, procedural gen, and chasing that emergent gameplay.
Nephew in town, booted up Earth Defense Force 4.1 for some split screen. There's still nothing like that game for just massive scale action. I heard EDF 5 and 6 might've worsened the formula?

It took me a sec to even notice the bottom bar on the first chart.

But the second chart, that's just some chefs-kiss data visualization.

Ok, about six hours into Clair Obscur and the lumina system has finally clicked. Love how it encourages (or, softly requires) you to try out every new thing for at least a few fights. And the reward is wild build variety

Heading to Dublin this Thursday (TU Grangegorman) for the Digra meet, any friendly local gamedevs going to be there?

So anyway, I created an updated version of that XdanielArt chart that contains all the Adobe alternatives since there are a lot more now than there were back when that list was originally made, and Adobe has continued to get shittier and shittier.

Loving Blue Prince, and reminded of the opportunity gold mine of board game mechanics.

Laying out rooms on door use was always a fun part of Betrayal, and relationships between them from Ludwig etc.

BP transitioned it beautifully to vg which is no small feat, but it feels so obvious in retrospect
