Minor correction on this specific note. Both DeepSeek representatives and Nvidia representatives have now confirmed that, in spite of export restrictions, DeepSeek is actually built on Nvidia hardware. It is not clear how the GPUs were obtained. This doesn't substantially alter its impact.
