When a stroke damages brain tissue, the resulting scar tissue can become an area of seizure generation. This means stroke survivors, particularly those over 60, face a much higher risk of developing #epilepsy later on. #WorldStrokeDay #EpilepsyAwareness

We often see comments on dashcam videos blaming the crash on a seizure, but the percentage of accidents caused by #epilepsy is dwarfed by drunk, distracted, or drowsy driving. Unfair assumptions fuel stigma and distract from the real biggest threats on the road. #EpilepsyAwareness
