Definitely not - or at least, not one that is so relevant. Andy Billings and his group at the Beyond Sports Initiative (icir.ua.edu/bsi/) at 'Bama have done a great job engaging this space. =)

I think emulation is a big part of it. It is a public service IMO to demystify surveillance, tech, and data privacy, but people have learned from YouTube and other platforms where length of views = $ and the TEDx culture of "everyone has a story" to make it a long winding narrative or something...

Because, as with so much self-provided advise, the advise is usually secondary. The primary motivation? Self-promotion.

Altruism is a nifty idea, but it's nearly never the reason. One reason I stopped the "unsolicited advice" posts long ago - I recognized they're more about me than others. =/
