I kind of like that today is a quiet, extra day off work for me. No stress of cooking for days. Slept in. Getting a jump on weekend chores. Already have my laundry done. Have scratch biscuits in the Ninja oven. Dishwasher is running through a cleaning cycle. Swim bag is ready for tomorrow. Sigh. 😊

Ugh. Stupid HVAC system at work is acting up again. Ignoring the thermostat & pumping out heat nonstop. No response from engineering/maintenance since 7:30 AM. My office got up to 84° during my last session. 🥵

Had a “good Christian” patient tell me today that she stopped eating at Cracker Barrel when they “went DEI” by changing their sign. 🙄🤦♀️😣

This is not just a current political issue. Charging & punishing these particular perpetrators is vital to keeping the fight against the ongoing abuse & killing of women & children by men in the spotlight. "Me Too" was only a start.

Had weird stress dreams last night. Which is odd, because I can’t think of anything stressful I’m dealing with right now. I’m even happy with my hair, and that almost never happens! 😂

It’s been another wonderful weekend. 4 hours total in the pool. Saw Wicked for Good. Baked cookies. Made lemon-lime-orange-cherry layered Jello. Did my weekend chores & accomplished a few other tasks. Got a great grocery deal. Enjoyed catching up on TV. Got good sleep. Ready to start the week!

In Monrovia, California, protesters are purchasing 17¢ ICE scrapers from Home Depot and immediately returning them to create long lines and slow down the entire store. Their aim is to disrupt sales and convey a message opposing ICE raids occurring in their neighborhood.

Finished work before 10AM. Got my hair cut, then went to the pool for 2 hours. Got home & baked cookies, loaded the dishwasher, washed & destemmed grapes, loaded Fresca cans into the fridge, and washed my swimwear. Going to take a hot shower now! It’s been a good day. 😊

What a great day! New patient who shouldn’t have been scheduled with me no-showed. Gave me 3 hours in the middle of the day to catch up on notes, write most of the report I was scheduled to write tomorrow, have lunch, & get my psychology license renewed. So I’ll be able to leave work really early
