Autumn colour enjoyed at #LullingstoneCountryPark this week wheeling along by the river.

Magnificent trees with leaves changing colour & preparing to fall. Spot the robin quietly posing in the branches.

Happiness is receiving the new #MillieJohnson book #LetTheBellsRingOut with additional goodies from @foxlanebooks.bsky.social

Now, do I save the book for nearer Christmas or dive in?

Ooh #M&S are doing a gluten free bacon roll so on a rainy, cool Saturday I’m quality control testing it with a cup of coffee. Will report back.

Pleased to buy a copy of the #Faversham 2026 calendar which contrasts the same street/place/building from days gone by with the current day. Beautifully done & lovely to see similarities & differences. If you’re visiting for #Hopfest this weekend pop in the #InformationCentre to get a copy.

First visit to the beautiful #IghthamMote @nationaltrust.org.uk today. Enjoyed the Civil war re-enactment activities & living history encampments- loved the leather work. Something for everyone to see, enjoy & learn about in glorious sunshine.

Enjoyed visit to local #Faversham library & reflecting how great it is to browse & pick up books I want to read and walk away with them for no cost. Picked books today as if I was going away-I'm not-so getting into holiday spirit but at home-a true staycation sleeping in your own bed.

Ten little fingers and ten little toes by Men Fox & Helen Oxenbury is a lovely book, here read aloud on YouTube.

Or Janet & Allan Ahlberg classic Each Peach, Pear Plum or the Baby's catalogue are key classics to share with babies and young children.

Struggling a lot this week need help & to see other writers. Feeling despondent about my writing that maybe it’s too late for me?

Had a fascinating day out with #WildWithWheels at #rspbdungeness

Such an interesting & unique landscape against a background of the power station & lighthouse.

The new accessible hide is a great resource.

Just finished reading #ToExistAsIAm by @gracespencegreen.bsky.social which is an honest & thought provoking view on recovery after spinal injury, care & disability. This paragraph on care & being cared for struck a particular chord with me.

Good visit to the library today and came away with #Deadland by @william1shaw.bsky.social the second one in the series set in Dungeness which I've enjoyed very much.

The second book is #SameTimeNextYear by Millie Johnson.

Which one to read first?

I love damsons whether they are stewed, in jam, damson cheese, damson chutney, damson gin, sloe damson gin ...... Now craving that gorgeous flavour and syrup on Greek yogurt - heaven in a bowl.

So beautiful with bluey/purple bloom on them when ripe for picking.

Oh the joy of mooching round Canterbury Waterstones with many books calling out to me. I was on a mission for a present for a friend’s birthday & found two books for her & three for me! In my defence if I’d not bought them I might have forgotten them the next time I shopped?

In my local Post Office in Faversham postal services can only be 'fitted in' after banking or travel money requests who have prioritised queues. The main(3rd) queue for actual postal services is not staffed so waits are long. Nonsense or what?

Today’s joy-finishing reading #TheOpheliaMurders by @jmsimpsonauthorbsk.bsky.social the first in a new series #WhistlersPeak. It’s a real page turner that had me gripped as I started to see & guess where different threads/characters might go. Cliff hangers might just sum it up!
