Factoid of the day: A Pony Express rider would ride for about 75 miles per day, stopping periodically at stations to get a fresh horse. A piece of mail sent by the Pony Express traveled about 180 to 190 miles per day.

So about 10x as fast as what we can manage today. Someone get me my pony.😉

The ceffyl dŵr is a Welsh fairy horse that inhabits mountain pools and waterfalls. In south Wales, it's often benevolent. But in north Wales, it isn't. There the ceffyl dŵr likes to get someone to ride it, fly into the air, and then become mist, so the rider falls to their death.
