I finally tracked down a copy of Minae Mizumura’s A True Novel, which is a retelling of WH in post WWII Japan, and all this talk about WH is helpful to fill in all the blanks that come with never having read WH.

I just acquired, after years of looking, a hardcover copy of The Photogtaph by Penelope Lively without the Today’s Book Club logo printed on the front. I feel your pain.

Thank you. I keep the hardcovers prominently on display and the paperbacks are tucked away elsewhere. It is my great shame that I do not have Mr Wilder and Me (read it as an ebook).

Got it the other day, but for Massachusetts, and immediately assumed the guys at the garage we parked at for the weekend took the car from NYC to Boston for nefarious reasons. Then I found out it was a scam.
