Today I learned that the FIFA peace prize thing was not satire. It appears to be a thing that actually happened and is real and not a joke, at least not in the most literal sense.

My rapid approach to fatherhood has given me a more nuanced set of feelings about abortion in the late term, but I'm not changing my stance on its legality. It's fucked up to abort past the sixth month or so as a personal choice, but formally banning it will mostly turn aspiring moms into corpses.

Ballots should have a space for like a tweet-sized summary of every candidate's platform so you can't just totally miss out on a good candidate because they didn't have enough advertising budget.

My best sense of the vibe is that unless they fire a shitload of generals in the next week or two, martial law ain't happening.
