If your friend/family member is well-established in a hobby that uses tools, under no circumstances should you buy them a tool, unless it's a specific one they've asked for, because by that point they are picky about tools and they will most likely not use the tool that you give them.

Mostly Amsterdam, with a day trip to Koln and another to Arnhem and Nijmegen. My daughter moved to Amsterdam this past year and won't be coming back to the US until... things change.

Same. I feel awful about not sending them out. What I've discovered though is that that's fine with everyone. Nobody really notices who they don't get cards from.
