I went down this rabbit hole! Smiths were thought to have magical powers in medieval Ireland and were able to curse people. On a tangential note I really love the medieval Icelandic hymn: Heyr himna smiður literally "Hail Smith of heaven." youtu.be/in8_u2pswdo?...

No doubt better than what we have. But it seems like those schemes always get budget cut into long wait times ie NHS and Canada. Why not a swiss style compulsory and universal but private insurance market?

No concerns. But if you were to say write a book on the virtues I'd love to see some thinking on two questions: 1. How do we pick which virtues to cultivate. I know why you'd write on those seven but do different times call for different virtues. 2. How do the virtues relate to the law/wisdom.
