In the interest of smiles:-
During a recent trip I wore old strides with 1/2 belts and no belt. At security when I lifted arms the 1/2 belt broke sending pants south!
Eventually after much torment I used a leather strap from a baggage tag to pull 2 belt loops together

I am guessing that this is a repeat of a much loved post, but I saw it for the first time moments ago and would like to know who created it!

My Mum would not tolerate the writing of addresses using black pen because the war office telegrams informing families of lost loved ones were written in black ink.

I enjoyed the thoughts this evoked. I used to like getting puzzles, wire puzzles etc, but my favourite was a puzzle of that nature that my granddad made by hand around 1930.
My cousin gave it to me.
