My friend Ron Lesser been a professional illustration artist since 1959 and is still painting. He just finished this painting last week and has not sent it to a gallery yet. Bill Cunningham and I are currently working with Ron on Vol. 3 in THE ART OF RON LESSER book series (amzn.to/4dgRchX).

I first became a fan of Samson Pollen for his men’s adventure magazine artwork, which is featured in three books Wyatt Doyle and I co-edited with him before he passed in 2018 (amzn.to/3t3sMqX). Sam also did many great paperback cover paintings, like this one for the movie tie-in novel CARNY.

This story in the MEN'S ADVENTURE QUARTERLY #13 (amzn.to/4hNflAt) about the gal "Who Watched Her Boyfriends Die" comes from REAL MEN, May 1969. It was written by Paul Chadwick, creator of Secret Agent X, and is loosely based on the infamous husband poisoner Madame de Brinvilliers (bit.ly/47Xms4S).

My friend Donald Honig was a prolific writer of men’s adventure and crime-digest stories, novels and nonfiction books. The MEN'S ADVENTURE QUARTERLY #13 (amzn.to/4hNflAt) includes a story he wrote for ALFRED HITCHCOCK'S MYSTERY MAGAZINE that was made into an episode of Hitchcock's TV series.

A short video I took of a bunch of White Ibis roosting in a Weeping Bottlebrush (Melaleuca viminalis) tree in full bloom, near the Miami Cancer Center where BJ and I came for appointments with her doctors today. The moon made it an even more spectacular sight.
