Today we played Café for the first time! While also enjoying a small espresso. ☕🇵🇹

Lovely little card layering game, with a lot to think about if you want to get that optimal coffee roasting engine.

Do I know anyone on here that uses 2x DJI Mic 2 transmitters for recording two people next to each other?
A plus would be if you also use DaVinci Resolve.

If so, could you please share your setup? I'm struggling to fix a slight echo throughout a video 😩

Would love to avoid this in future work.

Just wrapped up our first game of Village Rails by the fireplace 🚂🔥

Super nice small box game; Easy to setup, easy to learn, plenty of strategy options to try and get the most points!

Can't go wrong with some porridge, tea, and The Lost Expedition.

Well, you can. We lost the expedition! 😅 But it was a good way to start the day nonetheless. It's one of our favourite games!

The board game The Lost Expedition, which features a row of cards acting as the map we need to move our pawn across, and a row of cards under which placed one at a time from our hand, and are about to decide what actions to take on a card by card basis. Two bowls of pear, cinnamon, and blueberry porridge can be seen, along with two mugs of tea. End state for the game The Lost Expedition, showing our pawn two spaces away from winning the game, but unfortunately all three of our adventurer cards are flipped upside down to indicate they didn't make it. A few tokens to represent ammo, food, what time of day it is, and the expedition leader can be seen.

Board game breakfasts are back!

This morning we enjoyed a lovely round of Evergreen to some porridge and tea 🥣

Plenty of power cuts today, so what better way to start the day than being cosy in bed with a latte, and a round of Voyages ⛵

We love these single-sheet print and play games, makes it super easy to play in different settings!

( Not our best scores, but we had fun 😊 )

Just wrapped up our first game of Evergreen!

It's from the same designer as Photosynthesis, and features a familiar sun position/tree scoring system, but this time on our own boards, and with a card drafting step included 😊

A great board game to take to the beach!

We have the Mini version. This one plays well even if it's windy, thanks to the design of the player boards ☺️

Our official response:
Last night, the organizers of the trans boycott of CGE read with delight CGE’s third public announcement related to the publishing of content that actively harms trans rights globally. Their long awaited apology is very welcome, as is their alignment with trans rights as human rights. In this moment where our legal rights are under attack more than ever, such a statement is fundamental. We also recognise and appreciate their commitment to donate 100% of the profits of this game and look forward to working with them to help repair the relationship with their trans fans and to build new relationships with the trans movement in Czechia. We completely understand that many trans people are still hurt and don’t yet feel safe in this environment. The way that CGE initially responded to the problem, blocking hundreds of trans people, created an enormous amount of pain and mistrust. It will take time to build those relationships back again. We do not see this as a perfect situation. We would have hoped that by now, all of our favourite publishers would have known not to publish something that puts money in the pockets of someone who is trying to destroy our right to a peaceful and equal existence. But now that we are in this situation, and now that CGE is listening, let us turn to the job of making our own magical world: a board game hobby space that cherishes and protects all of the people in it, including the trans ones.

CGE just announced they are going to be giving away 100% of the profit from their Harry Potter game to pro-trans charities!!

We will ensure that an amount equal to our greater than the fee paid to license this product will go directly to organizations that provide support for the trans community. We evaluate profits and make charitable-giving decisions each December, and we will continue using this annual process to direct the games profits. We will listen to recommendations from the community to help guide our choices of organizations that provide support for the trans community. Or goal is to select those that offer direct, practical help to people in need — for example, services similar to the emergency hotline that was recently discontinued.”
