Federal immigration enforcement officials called off a planned raid on Canal Street today shortly before it was slated to begin.

New Yorkers who heard about the raid showed up at the garage where the feds had gathered, and as federal agents tried to leave, the NYPD cleared the way for them.

Would be interesting to know how they decide who gets to use The President’s Voice on any given day.

Like is it a chore wheel type thing? Every fourth Friday Rubio gets 5 minutes with The Device.

She didn't want to deploy to D.C.

"She hated it. She cried about it."

But she started visiting monuments and museums and started enjoying it.

Sure, Nuzzi isn’t all journalists. Sure, Larry Summers isn’t all academics. Sure, Musk isn’t all CEOs. And also, if you don’t think their prominence & behavior tells us something about those professions & our National Conversation™️ in this authoritarian era, I don’t really know what to tell you.
you know, what if they aren't actually a commentary on journalism or the state of media. what if these people are just extremely weird

This is innumerate nonsense. An average of 1.1 million people were watching The Simpsons throughout its entire thirty-minute broadcast according to a third-party data company contracted to measure viewership by Disney. Somebody, no way to know who, hit the play button 1.7 million times on Twitter

1) think up a crime you want to do. The kind you can post bail and walk around doing stuff after. Make it flashy and get $
2) do it
3) get caught
4) set up a polymarket bet on whether you get a pardon
5) bribe the president (use the friends you made in step 1)
6) get pardon, win bet
But if they paid $1 million ..
