Senate Bill 1 isn’t the product of Frankfort. It’s a bill crafted by some in Louisville’s business community to reduce transparency into their desire to control the Superintendent. open.substack.com/pub/blundero...

Lindsey Tichenor did missionary work. What the hell is missionary work doing to destroy everyone’s compassion?
As an influencer, Nick Shirley had struggled to expand his reach. But after a missionary trip pushed him to try a new approach, he caused a sensation with a video claiming to expose fraud at Somali-run day care centers in Minnesota. nyti.ms/45GzJi4

Daniel keeps saying this repeatedly.

That he does so reflects on how awful he truly is.

I have heard disturbing Grossberg stories from multiple women.

If you’re a grown ass adult and don’t k kw what constitutes harassment, you should quit your job.
Rep. Daniel Grossberg says he's "been fully cleared of these frivolous allegations of sexual harassment and misconduct."

That's not what happened today.

The ethics commission is limited in investigating sexual harassment; it's not explicitly considered misconduct in the code.
With Grossberg case in mind, lawmaker seeks to add sex harassment to ethics code
“The fact that (sexual harassment) is not something that the ethics commission has jurisdiction over is just wrong,” the sponsor said.

Louisville Democrats think Craig Greenberg is popular with Louisville Democrats.

But is it that he’s just popular with Louisville Democrats with money and influence who don’t want to be seen as the moderate Republicans they are.

This photo made me understand class in America in a way that I was unable to process before seeing it. The rich enjoy class solidarity on a level that is unimaginable to most people.

A retired Minneapolis couple who had guns pointed at them by ICE in a church parking lot.

"They were obviously not trained at all. I've known many police officers in my life. These people were right off the streets."

"They had the professional demeanor of criminals."

Just thinking that Mitch McConnell has been my senator most of my life and I've never known him to have a town hall that wasn't for an audience of his choosing.
JUST NOW… rep. Omar attacked and sprayed with a liquid…

At Cafe Louie in Fern Creek. Daniel Grossberg, who is supposed to be here, is not. Aaron Reed, who is Senator for part of Fern Creek, is also not here. I asked him to attend multiple times and sent him the flyer. He also was invited by Cafe LOUIE.

My parents owned an independent video store in the late 80s/early 90s.

Some of my boring recollections to follow.
I know nostalgia for Blockbuster is a thing. I don’t really remember it that way. I remember it having fewer movies than the stores I went to as a kid. But I worked at Blockbuster when I was 17.

Here are some things that happened while I was there.

Does resignation help when the replacements are always people willing to do the worst?
This is appalling: Top DOJ officials are actively pushing for a criminal investigation into the widow of Renee Good, leading prosecutors to quit en masse, NYT is reporting.

Who in the White House ordered DOJ to do this? That's the next thing to establish.

Kentucky's anti-transgender laws are written by people who don't care about children or want to listen to their perspective or that of their parents either.

Not every child in sports is Riley Gaines. Hell, even Gaines wasn't Riley Gaines until she realized it got more attention than winning.

Nothing like asking a senator why he's against DEI at the K-12 level and having him say "DIDN'T! EARN! IT".

Like a kid who hasn't yet learned to read is somehow putting one over by having teachers learn better how to meet his needs.

You’ve lost the plot as a presidential administration when Dr. Oz is on stage handwringing about the cost of balls
Dr Oz: "The creation of a penis costs on average in America $150,000 per child ... if you add testicles, that's extra"

Keep this post handy when Republicans attack education.
FOX: If you cut something by 100%, the cost goes down to 0. If you cut it by 600%, the drug companies are actually paying you

LUTNICK: What he's saying is if a drug was $100 and you bring it down to $13, it's down 7 times

F: Not a 600% cut

L: But it's 700% higher price before. It's down 700% now

Also me. Yeah. Sadly it was.
David Brooks, who wrote in the NYT last month, "The Epstein Story? Count Me Out" is... in the latest Epstein photo dump published by @oversightdemocrats.house.gov.

He should absolutely be fired by NYT for this. Major conflict of interest that he didn't disclose.

As someone who has been called a groomer because I support healthcare for transgender children, I think it's worth asking why so many Republicans are obsessed with and have such deep knowledge of transgender children and their genitalia.

Black people tip well and treat servers who treat them well with kindness, not dismissiveness.

Who doesn't tip well?

Most local celebs.

White people who pray before eating.

White women who ask for separate checks and stay three hours.

Oddly, restaurant and small business owners.
The ‘Black people don’t tip’ thing isn’t even true. What’s happening is that you’re getting Read. We see you. Our inklings are survival mechanisms. Why the fuck would I throw an extra bone to a racist?

It’s like how if everybody you meet is an asshole eventually you gotta start doing the math.
